Are you a ‘Classic FM’ fan? If so, we think we’ve got just the evening for you on April 26th when we have an evening of Classic FM style music provided by Melton Orchestra. With a programme made of a range of fairly short, many well-known pieces, even if you’re not a regular classical music fan, why not come along and join us? Melton Orchestra is a small chamber orchestra with a membership of enthusiastic amateurs from around Melton who simply love playing. Judith, who plays the oboe says ‘I’ve been playing in orchestras all my life and I’ve never played with a group who laugh so much. Our audiences tell us this enjoyment comes over in our playing.’The programme will include movements from Schubert and Bizet, Delius – On Hearing the First Cuckoo in Spring, Mozart – Clarinet Concerto and Faure – Pavanne.
