Pianothon for Madagascar ‘Tree Twins’

Join us for a piano music marathon, a cuppa (maybe a cake too) and a browse of the book stall. You don’t have to stay for the whole twelve hours!

Queniborough’s Megan R and family are fundraising for MfM’s Tree Twinning, linking our village’s trees with trees in Madagascar.

“In Madagascar 80% of the plants and animals are found nowhere else on earth. Tree Twinning directly protects biodiversity, mitigates climate change, and strengthens communities. We don’t just plant trees and walk away. We work with the communities who plant the trees so that both people and plants flourish together, sustainably.”

The pianothon starts at 8:00 AM in St Mary’s Church, Queniborough and moves to Queniborough Village Hall at 11:00 AM. There will be piano playing across the whole 12 hours with special guests and other musicians from the village taking part. We’d love to see you at any time before the finish line at 8:00 PM.

Floor repair and maintenance – Spring 2020

Those of you who use the Hall regularly will be aware that towards the end of last year we had a problem with the Hall floor, when an area by the main door into the hall developed what could only be called a mound.

We marked it up and called in a specialist floor contractor, who assessed the situation for us, confirmed that they could actually remedy it and were then booked to carry out the repair and regular maintenance for a period when we would be causing least disruption to you, our users.

When the Hall reopens you will now find a fully refurbished, clean and shiny (but not slippery) floor.

Nerf Battle 29 December 2019

The Nerf Battles are back to get you off the sofa and out between Christmas and New Year!

Age limit between 5 and 14 years; 5 to 9 year-olds must be accompanied by parents. Coffee shop for parents. Entrance by pre-booked ticket only. £5 a head per session. Beauty and the Beast panto 11 January 2020

Panto time at Queniborough Village Hall! The troupe are back again for another feast of fun and merriment for all the family. This year they’re giving us Beauty and the Beast, a wonderful story with something for everyone.

Call us for tickets soon. In previous years the panto has sold out quickly. This is possibly our most popular event each year. “Oh no it isn’t.” Oh yes it is! We look forward to seeing you there.
